Automated estimates of white matter hyperintensity (WMH) volumes are associated Lead Investigator: Jo Barnes Institution : UCL Institute of Neurology, London E-Mail : j.barnes@ucl.ac.uk Proposal ID : 477 Proposal Description: The overarching aim is to assess the impact of WMH on symptoms, atrophy patterns and cognition in controls, MCI and AD. The specific research questions are: A) Can WMH be measured using available T2- and T1-weighted imaging? B) Is there any association between symptoms at first visit and extent and location of WMH? C) Is there any association between cognition at first visit and extent and location of hyperintensities? D) Is there a relationship between WMH and change in brain or hippocampal volume using serial T1 weighted imaging?
